World Of Batik
Rolla
Batik Rolla was founded by Mrs. Iriane Chairini Megahwati on February 26, 2010. Starting from the intention to help the family economy in the surrounding area. The name Rolla is taken from his father, which means a famous country. Mr. Rolla was a well-known tobacco exporter in Jember in the 1940s – 1980s. After he passed away, there were no more children who continued his business, until Mrs. Iriane, whose third child had the initiative to open a batik business and used the name Rolla so that her father’s name could be remembered again. Although her business is different, namely tobacco and tobacco batik exporters, Ibu Iriane wants to preserve Batik, especially the tobacco motif, to be widely introduced.

Filosofi Batik
Batik is a handicraft as a result of intricate coloring using hot wax (batik wax) as an outer barrier with the main means of wax / batik wax in the form of a written canting or a canting cap to form certain motifs that have certain meanings.
Broadly speaking, batik also means meticulousness which accurately describes the creative way of the batik maker in making a piece of batik cloth. Batik is an artistic work of the maker, therefore a batik craftsman usually has a creative spirit to achieve the desired work. Fabrics that have gone through the batik process are created to make intricate patterns and motifs. The batik techniques used in the batik highlight characteristics that reflect this thoroughness and the dedication of the batik makers.
Every batik has a sacred meaning behind every pattern and batik motif that is made. The tobacco motif is a broad-leaf plant used to make cigarette materials. The tobacco motive is taken to preserve the superior product of the regency of Jember. The well-known type of tobacco in Jember is na’oogst tobacco which is used to make cigars and vor oogst tobacco or can be called musk tobacco which is used for kretek cigarette mixes because it has a delicious and aromatic taste. This superior tobacco product is manifested in a piece of cloth so that all consumers can bless it.
A piece of batik cloth has a soul in a sheet of cloth that is painted by the maker. This philosophy is what distinguishes batik art from others because the fabrics that are made give a personal touch that makes them attractive to those who appreciate perfect and distinctive works of art
